What One Real Question Will Your Paper Answer?
Your research paper is going to focus heavily on answering a particular question. You have to understand how you’re going to pose that question. This aspect of research paper writing must be planned carefully as the question is going to determine the thesis you produce and therefore the research you will conduct.
Review the Topic
Before you determine the question you will answer, you must look at the topic you are working with. Look at the topic and consider the many issues that surround it. You should be able to find a question you want to pose. You might look around the topic of education and find a question relating to how children with special learning needs can be supported, for instance.
Think About the Thesis
The thesis in your paper is the answer to the question that you will have addressed earlier. You would have to watch for how your research paper help will work around the question by producing a thesis that is relevant and realistic while still being heavily associated with the question you have posed.
Heading back to the education example you just read about, you might develop a thesis about how computers could be used in the classroom to help kids with special needs. But even as you produce that thesis, you have to figure out the question that the thesis will be related to. This should add to the overall meaning of the paper you are writing.
Be a Little More Specific
Try to be as specific as possible when working on the question. For instance, you might be subjected to a topic relating to the gender gap in terms of how much men and women are paid in the workplace. Asking a question like “Why are men paid more than women for the same job?” will not work as that is too general. Instead, you should ask a more specific question like “Are the differences between the physical abilities of men and women contributing to the gender gap in terms of how much they are paid?” This creates a better focus for your work, thus making the research process easier.
When buying a research paper, you have to look at how your paper will answer a certain question. Be sure you think about the precise question you wish to answer so anyone who wants to help you can get a clear idea of what your paper is going to be about.
